AEP Sponsored CAMx Source Apportionment

The results directory contains the one hour and eight hour results from the AEP sponsored CAMx Source Apportionment runs. (Right mouse click on the file name to save the file to your hardisk.) The file region.gif defines the source regions used in the modeling and the file aeprec.doc defines the receptor regions used in the AEP1 Control Case run, the results of which are presented here. Modeling has been done only for the 1995 OTAG episode.

There are no one hour files for Indianapolis, Ft. Wayne, Dayton, Columbus, Cleveland, Huntington, Parkersburg, and Pittsburgh as there were no one hour exceedances modeled in the Base Case. There are also no one hour files for St. Louis, Terre Haute, and Knoxville as there were no one hour exceedances in the AEP1 Control Case. These receptor regions were added for the AEP1 run. We have not reprocessed the Base Case data to pick up these receptors to determine if the AEP1 control strategy eliminated any modeled exceedances.

The AEP1 Control strategy consisted of utility Nox reductions to the lesser of 0.35 lb/MMBtu or a 55% NOx reduction from the 1990 base level (30% reduction from the 2007 EPA1A level was used as a proxy for 55%) in the states of WI, MI, MO, IL, IN, OH, VA, WV, KY, TN and the fine grid portions of AL and GA, the National Low Emission Vehicle in the entire domain, and Phase II of the OTC NOx MOU in the OTR.

If you have any questions on this modeling please contact David J. Long of American Electric Power at (614)-223-1245.
